Catch And Release Only – Vancouver / Fraser Valley Area
We offer some excellent angling opportunities for sea-run trout, resident and sea-run Bull trout, Cutthroat trout and Rainbow trout. Some of the best trout fishing occurs during early spring, summer and fall on both rivers and lakes in the Vancouver and Merritt area’s. We fish for Bull Trout or Dolly Varden as they are often referred to, rainbows & cutthroat on several remote rivers.

Pitt River Bull Trout
May 15 to July 15 – is peak fly fishing for sea-run Bull Trout on the Upper Pitt River. These fish enter the Upper river from the lake heading for their spawning ground in Garibaldi Park. These fish are chrome bright and full of fight. Size ranges from 3 to 10 lbs with lots of fish in the 4-6 lb range. Some of the larger fish can reach as much as 14lbs. This is one of British Columbia’s Premier fisheries with limited access and a wilderness experience. We also target Cutthroat on the Fraser & Harrison Rivers as trout feeding on salmon fry migrating back to the ocean.
August 1 to October – offers some unique fly-fishing for Trout on some of our harder to reach river systems like the Lillooet and Pitt Rivers. Early salmon runs have reached their home waters and begin preparing their spawning grounds. During this period the trout take position laying behind the salmon waiting for any loose or drifting eggs. We target these trout using by dead drifting egg patterns.
