Hook: 14-10 94849 Mustad Dry Fly Thread: 8/0 black Back Half: black UNI-YarnHackle: Black saddle Front Half: Black UNI-Yarn
- Tie in black UNI-yarn at bend of hook, and wind forward to just before half way up the hook shank making a small hump to represent the rear half of an ant. Secure with thread and trim off UNI-yarn.
- Tie in 1 black saddle hackle by its tip and make 2 or 3 wraps and secure with thread and trim.
- Tie in another strand of UNI-yarn and wrap forward to eye of hook forming another hump, slightly smaller than the rear hump.
- Trim excess UNI-yarn, whip finish, and head cement.
