The Quantum MG Classic bait caster is very much the like the Quantum Cabo in style and looks and offers many of the same features like the adjustable cast control/anti backlash, solid one piece frame, continuous anti-reverse and lubrication port. I guess the biggest difference is there is no Ceramic drag or Ceramic-coated levelwind gear with zirconia pawl. or saltwater coating for extra protection. The price for the Quantum Classic is in the $135 to $145 range, good value for the money.
We tested these reels on salmon in the 2004 season and found them to work well, with no premature breakage.
