About Mission - Skiing

British Columbia is a skiers paradise, within 1 hours drive of Mission you can be skiing on 4 different mountains, within 3 hours drive you add another 7 or 8 ski resorts. The closest ski resort to Mission is Hemlock Valley, only 40 minutes drive. Hemlock is a great family mountain with mostly intermediate slopes. Just across the border from Mission is Mt Baker, this resort has some of the best local snow conditions averaging over 40 feet of snow fall each year, lots of difficult terrain as well as good intermediate runs. Manning Park is another gem close by that offers great family skiing. Closer to Vancouver is Grouse Mountain, Seymour and Cypress Bowl. Drive 3 hours north west from Mission and your in one of the top ski resorts in the world Whistler/Blackcomb. Head 3 to 4 hours north east and your in powder country, Big White, Silver Star, Apex and Crystal Mountain. As you can see British Columbia offers some great skiing.
